Data Retention and Deletion

Retention follows the way the platform works today: customer content remains available until an authorized deletion, account closure, or a legal requirement changes that result.

Current retention schedule

Data categoryCurrent retentionDeletion path
Contact inquiriesKept in business email and related records while needed to respond, manage the relationship, and meet legal obligations.Request deletion by email, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements.
Account and organization recordsKept while the account or customer relationship is active and afterward as needed for security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. An authorized representative can request account closure and deletion.
Uploaded documentsKept until an authorized user or administrator deletes the file, or account closure requires removal. The platform does not currently run a fixed automatic purge schedule for active files.Delete through the client file interface or request administrator assistance.
Saved analyses and generated resultsKept until an authorized user deletes the result, an administrator removes it, or the account relationship ends.Delete through the analysis library or request administrator assistance.
AI request content at external providersRequests are restricted to endpoints that advertise zero data retention and no data collection. OpenRouter can retain non-content request metadata.Content retention is prevented through routing controls rather than a later deletion request.
Session and security recordsLogin sessions are configured for 30-day expiration. Operational and security records may be retained longer when reasonably needed to protect the service or investigate an issue.Signing out or session expiration ends active access. Other deletion requests can be submitted by email.

What deletion does

Deleting a stored file removes the active file from the Railway Volume and removes its metadata record from PostgreSQL. Deleting a saved analysis removes the active analysis record and any associated stored output file. Some comparison results are stored directly in the database and are removed with their analysis record.

Deletion from active systems does not necessarily remove information immediately from infrastructure backups, email archives, security records, or records that must be retained by law. Those copies remain protected and are removed or overwritten through normal provider rotation and record-management processes.

Account closure

EdgePoint Strategy does not currently offer self-service account deletion. An authorized customer representative can request closure at [email protected]. We will verify the requester’s identity and authority, identify any contractual or legal hold, and coordinate removal of active customer content.

Exceptions

We may retain specific records when required by law, a legal hold, an active dispute, fraud prevention, security investigation, contract enforcement, or a customer’s written instruction. When an exception ends, the applicable deletion process resumes.
